Cake Stall in aid of protecting Marlow’s Greenbelt brings the community out saying ‘NO’ to development.

On Saturday 6th November, at Emmetts Farm, Little Marlow, Save Marlow’s Greenbelt (SMG) Campaigners held a bring and buy cake stall to raise awareness and funds to make a stand against the development of Marlow’s precious greenbelt.

Hundreds of people attending with dozens and dozens of cakes being traded over conversations around how they can help and spread the word.

One campaigner and cake seller said ‘We were overwhelmed with kind donations and much of the community have grave concerns. People were leaving with a fist full of flyers to distribute’

The cake sale was a great opportunity for people to chat about the planned colossal development, share thoughts and find out some of the realities of how a development like this could result in bad news for Marlow.

SMG would like to thank all supporters in helping them raise just over £500 for the cause and to Emmetts Farm for being gracious hosts.

As the campaign against development gains momentum, locals are coming forward with offers of expertise, time and funds, but we need much more. Can you help? Find out more at
